Block Party Update

I sent in the permit application today. I did not put a rain date down. If it rains on 6/10, we'll have plenty of time to re-plan for say August. If anyone would like to volunteer to buy a barrel, plan some kid's games, bring over grills, make invitations and deliver to neighbors (I think Quinn was going to ask Fons to help out with this)...let me know or send me an email at Tlucas@wi.rr.com and I'll send it out to the list of emails I got at last year's block party. Lou did mention possibly needing to get a car through for his dad that day. He is handicapped and it's his daughter's high school graduation party at his house so maybe we can move things down the block a bit so he doesn't have to walk so far if needed.

Zak's study completed

A big "thanks" to all of you who completed my study. The paper is finished and the results tallied. If anybody is interested in reading it, let me know and I'll gladly email you a copy.

TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!

Mel and Ashlee are hosting a fashionable TOGA PARTY! That's right, TOGA! So plan to be there June 3rd, donning your favorite TOGA (with appropriate undergarments). In case you're wondering where "there" is, we live above the Fons (1123 E Burleigh St). Festivities begin at Standard Party Time (10 pm until ...?)

How to make a toga.

Zak's Study: Please complete

Dear neighbors,

Yesterday evening I passed out my study. If you received one, please take a few minutes to complete it. If possible, deliver it to my house (1141 E. Burleigh). Either way, after I get off work at 7 p.m. I will come ‘round to collect them. If you don’t want me to ring your doorbell, just put the study in an easily locatable place.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Zak

Neighborhood Watch

Jenny and Chuck asked me to post this for them. Her neighbor, Kim K., on the 3100 block of Dousman was "jumped" by two African American teens while getting out of his car around midnight on 5/5 in the alley. He some how managed to scare
them off and they got nothing. He was not hurt. To my knowledge it was not
reported to the police. Be careful and watch out for yourself and neighbors.

Riverwest Block Party

Locust St., Center St. and now Clarke. Could Burleigh be next?
