We need input for the block party. When do we want to have it? Early, late or middle summer? How can we be more inclusive?

A number of people have mentioned the weekend of the fourth. What do you think? I also think we should have more music, and different types. We all seem to know someone who is in a Rock band how about a Polka, Salsa or classical group?

I have a crazy busy calendar this summer, so whatever we ultimately decide on is fine but I have a few dates on my calendar that would be great for me and my family.

I like the idea of a variety of entertainment / music and I know a great Salsa band that would be really fun. I could set that up....Just a thought.

July 4th is on a Wednesday this year, so I'm not sure if you're thinking of the weekend before or after. We're at my family's annual reunion the weekend before (June 30-July 1) so we wouldn't be able to make it then. I could help organize some activities for/with the kids if it ends up being a weekend we're here.
I'd be open to either the end of June or beginning of July.
I'm with the last weekend in June or 1st in July. OR earlier the better to kick off the summer.
No one in this household is either graduating or expecting visitors from afar in either june or july this year, so... any date is good.
