As posted on the Riverwest Neighborhood Assoc. Web site

http://www.riverwestneighborhood.org/content/view/89/71/lang,/

Most recent concentrated criminal activity in Riverwest, also viewable in charts online.
Theft, shows two hot spots:

1) 3200-3300 N. Dousman. Three cases of theft reported in 30 days.
2) Townsend from Holton to Pierce, also three in 30 days

Please - if anyone sees anything in our area call the police right away. 933-4444 -The more people who call - the more we'll have the police patroling our neighborhood.

I also think a great idea was brought up at our first meeting - with the nights being comfortable - take time to enjoy it and sit outside on your front porch - the more visible we are the less traffic and crime we'll see.

Thank you for the update, newdeal. I live on Humboldt and wondered what had happened yesterday.

Is the info after "Two suspects..." from police?

The car on Auer=a car the two suspects had? And the suspects are 1 male, 1 female?

Does anyone have any information on what happened at the Subsidized apartment building at the end of 3200 Dousman?

The guy abandoned a car at the south end of the alley behind 3200 Humboldt (at Auer). He was actually apprehended in our friends' front yard on Humboldt. He grabbed her son's bike but the police got him at that point. I don't know where they apprehended the woman. I heard speculation that the robberies (or the suspects) were somehow related to what was going on at the subsidized apartments. That may not be true but I sure would like to know why all those police were there yesterday.

FYI - the reason all the police cars were at the subsidized housing on Dousman was due to a domestic dispute. This information was provided to me by the complex's president.
