2006 Block Watch Meetings

Just wanted to post the remaining dates for the 2006 Block Watch meetings:

November 15th
Demcember 12th

Both are from 7 pm to 8 pm at the Friends Meeting House. (They have generously donated their space).

It's been a while since there's been any mention of this band. We have been waiting patiently for an update and a possible Milwaukee show. Anyone have the haps on the next sweet gig?

trick or treat / block party

There will be a Halloween Block Party on the 3100 block of Dousman from 3:00-5:00pm on Saturday, Oct. 28. This is a potluck so please bring something to share.

Following the block party it's time for our Third Annual Dousman Street *Halloween at Night* from 6:30-8:00pm. All neighbors (3100 & 3200 N. Dousman, E. Burleigh, E. Auer, Gordon Circle, Gordon Court) are invited to join in and distribute candy for this event. For safety reasons we’ll keep the trick-or-treating to the inner blocks. If neighbors on Humboldt want to distribute candy, please pair up with a neighbor on one of the other blocks.

Please note that if children from your house are trick-or-treating then someone from your house should also distribute candy. Relatives and family friends welcome - please register all children who will participate from your house. Theft on Gordon

Under cover of darkness, some time between sundown on Monday night Oct 2 and 8:30 am Tuesday morning Oct 3, someone took a patio chair from my front yard (3200 block of N.Gordon Place). [There were two patio chairs there, and now there is one.] I reported it to police, for their records. If anyone should happen to see a lonely white enameled patio chair someplace, I would be interested in knowing about it. I can be reached at j.wirth@sbcglobal.net. Thanks.
